VOUCH by Lickd

Fully automated ‘set-and-forget’ copyright claims management on YouTube for Lickd Content Owner partners.

Get Started

  • What is VOUCH?

  • As a companion to the Lickd.co service, VOUCH checks individual copyright claims on behalf of Content Owners, validating each one for a licence purchased through the Lickd platform. When VOUCH finds a legal licence bought via Lickd, it releases the copyright claim, allowing the uploader to monetise their video as normal.

When no license can be validated, VOUCH asserts the default policy action, and the video is monetised by the Content Owner.

Integration

Before you sign in to VOUCH, it's important to make sure you:

  • Have signed a VOUCH service Agreement with Lickd, or have opted in via your distribution partner (e.g Merlin Network). If you haven't done either of these, please contact one of the team, or email licensing@lickd.co before proceeding.

  • Have full admin access to your Content ID account and have sought the necessary internal permission to authenticate VOUCH and enable the software to begin operating immediately.

  • Have read and understood the VOUCH Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Signing into VOUCH constitutes your acceptance of both policies.

If you’ve completed all of the above, you’re ready to get started.

  1. Select ‘Sign In to VOUCH’ above.

    (Opens in a new window)

  2. Select ‘Sign In With Google’

Double check you’ve completed the pre-sign-in checklist items.

  3. Select the Google Account you use to sign in to your Content ID CMS.

This is sometimes attached to a personal or personal employee email address, rather than an obvious specific address like 'contentid@user.com'. If you're unsure which email address is linked to your Content ID account, logging in to your Content ID CMS and checking your user preferences.

  4. Select ‘Allow’ to give the VOUCH API access to your content ID CMS.

VOUCH uses the minimum possible set of privilages in order to carry out claim management - for more information on the exact actions and API endpoints we use, please see the FAQ below.

  5. Once you’ve signed in with your Google account, select your Content Owner account from the list.
For most, this list will contain only one or two entries.
  6. You’ll then see a welcome message confirming the main part of the integration is complete.

No. VOUCH has no access to any financial data, earnings figures, reports or analytics at all. When you integrate VOUCH, you're only allowing the software to carry a small set of actions within the Content Management area of your CMS. This includes basic but necessary functions like asserting or releasing claims, and updating asset policies where required.

Yes you can. Removing access is very simple through the Google Account that's attached to your CMS (the same one you used to sign in to VOUCH). You can find out more by visiting this link - https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3466521?hl=e
